🏕️ Site Type

Private Island

Launch Point Anderton Branch Public Boat Launch. Located just below an RV Campground. Rangers were there checking life vests. They patrol the area. Leave a note in windshild with campsite information.

Additional Notes: The entire island is covered in a soft carpet of pine needles, with pine trees providing shade throughout the campsite. There’s a designated flat area for pitching tents, with a small fire pit nearby. Some firewood had already been left at the site, and there appeared to be additional fallen wood available. A small boat landing near the center of the island provides a convenient place to pull up and secure your kayak. The island is completely shaded, making it a pleasant place to camp. Cell service was unreliable. Although my phone displayed 5G with two bars, actual reception was hit or miss. Sometimes I had a connection, and other times I couldn’t get service at all. Don’t count on having dependable cell service while camping here.
